Web Page Notes
The names of all DIRECT SHOEMAKE DESCENDANTS will appear this color.
All SPOUSES will appear this color. Where remote cousins have married, both will appear the descendant color.
All children will appear on the page of the direct descendant, regardless of whether the direct descendant is the mother or the father. Where remote cousins have married, children will link from both parents individual pages.
I AM NOT a genealogist! The data presented here has been gathered by several persons, over several generations. It has mostly been gathered directly from the individuals themselves, or from immediate family, often at family reunions.
One of the stickiest situations in compiling a family history is how to handle adopted children. Strictly speaking, of course, they are not blood relatives. However, there are many adopted children within our family and they are loved and treated as any other family member. For this reason, I have chosen to include adopted children, and their descendants, in the Family History, but to display their names, and their descendants names, in a different color. Accordingly, names of known ADOPTED or ADOPTIVE DESCENDED kin will appear this color.
I would like to thank those family members who have been of immense assistance in the development of this data.
Mary Edith Powers Shoemake - Wife of Robert Spencer Shoemake, who is reputed to have begun the collection of family information into the "Family Book" at an early reunion of the Robert Shoemake family.
Hobert Shoemake - who tracked down the "Texas Connection" and found the descendants of Rasmus Shoemake, son of Elijah, son of Blakeley
Reba Gail Ingram Varner - who furnished tons of info on the descendants of Stephen G Shoemake, son of Blakeley
Billy Glenn Reneau - for the information on the descendants of Rasmus Shoemake, son of Elijah, son of Blakeley
Richard Gates - for the information on the descendants of Michael Shoemake, son of Blakeley
